Dr. Mike Thompson is a historian, researcher, and writer with a PhD in History from the University of Sydney and an MDiv from SMBC/AUT. He has taught at institutions including the Australian Catholic University, the University of Sydney, and the Brisbane School of Theology. His research focuses on American Christian intellectual history, world affairs, environmental history, and the intersections of faith and politics. He is the author of For God and Globe: Christian Internationalism in the United States Between the Great War and the Cold War (Cornell University Press) and numerous articles, including co-authoring a recent piece on religion and American environmental thought in the American Historical Review. He and his family enjoy living and walking near the shores of Moreton Bay in Redcliffe, South East Queensland.
