Dr James Pietsch is the Dean of Professional Development and Learning at St Luke’s Grammar School. A former resident of New College, James studied Science at the University of New South Wales and graduated with honours before completing a Diploma of Education at the University of Sydney. He was then a high school teacher and casual tutor and lecturer at the University of Sydney for 8 years, also completing a Masters of Philosophy in Education at the University of Sydney during that time. James served as Dean of Residents at New College for 7 years, during which he also completed a PhD in Mathematics Education. James and his wife Margie love their three children Samuel, Caleb and Greta.
